Finland Ambassador to Tanzania visit NED-ELCT

North Eastern Diocese – Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, June 11th -14th.

The Ambassador of Finland accredited to the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E Juhani Toivonen, pays a visit to the NED-ELCT on June 11th to 14th for the strengthening cooperation of social projects between Finish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (FELM) and NED-ELCT. During visit Ambassador had fruitful discussions with the NED-ELCT management.

While welcoming the delegates from Finland Embassy, the NED-ELCT Management lead by Bishop Rev. Dr. Munga highlighted some of the major developments taking place in the integration process, notably ongoing project of construction Kilindi Council Designated Hospital (KCDH) funded by FELM and Bumbuli Lutheran Hospital renovation.

Finish Evangelical Lutheran Mission is already actively participating in Phase one construction of Kilindi OPD, Theater, Maternity Ward and General Ward at Kilindi Council Designated Hospital. Phase two will cover more buildings. The Hospital was inaugurated by the President of United Republic of Tanzania H.E Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete on 27th June 2009.

On Saturday, 12th June 2010, Juhani Toivonen, will pay a courtesy visit to Bumbuli Hospital then to Sebastian Kolowa University College. During his four day trip to NED-ELCT, Ambassador will meet with Kilindi Council Designated Hospital staffs and government leaders of Kilindi District.
