For many years, the cafeteria looked like this
Originally, the
cafeteria at Campus A consisted of a dining area with the capacity of hosting 72 people, a kitchen and three small food stores. The original intention was to maintain this structure. However, it soon became clear to us that in terms of space, the dining area, kitchen and stores were inadequate for the needs of a university. We knew that in any case we would have to add a larger kitchen, new stores, showers and toilets for the cooks. We thus decided to demolish the kitchen chimney as well as all internal walls so as to get sufficient space for the dining area. We are now about to complete the renovation of this building as an initial phase.
We started by demolishing the roof, chimney, walls, windows and doors
Rain was pouring down as the new iron sheets were being laid:
 Done!
New plaster was applied on external wallsâ?¦ |
 â?¦followed by conmix |

Before starting renovation, the inside of the cafeteria looked like this |
It was quite a mess and masonry people had to work very hard |
Fixing the suspended ceiling was done simultaneously withâ?¦ |
 â?¦laying the floor screed! |
terracotta tiles were beautifully laid â?? in two days! |
The work of electrical wiring and insertion of lamps was completed |
Today the Cafeteria looks like this insideâ?¦ |
 â?¦and outside! |
