A group of Swedish students has marked the inauguration of the long awaited modern guest house in Lushoto, the Tumaini Hostel.

The Developing Countries Studies students from Hålland Folk High School in Northern part of Sweden are visiting Tanzania as part of their scholarly curriculum.

Arriving at Lushoto on Friday 20th February aboard a direct bus from Dar es Salaam, the students found the fresh rooms on the ground floor ready for them.

How do they feel to be openers of the diocesan milestone; “Royal. We have been treated like kings”, says Samuel Olsson, a member of the group, residing in Linköping, south-eastern Sweden, adding that the hostel is very executive. “I know that all diocese members have cooperated to make sure that the hostel becomes a talk of the town”.

On Monday (23rd) the group members will be traveling to various places including Moshi, Iringa and different institutions of the NED to begin their three-week schedule.

During the fourth week the students will meet in Zanzibar ready to depart on 22nd March this year.
