Is anything too hard for the Lord? (Gen.18:14a)

Dear friends of the NED,
I want to take this opportunity to reach out to you all with very special message of greetings and appreciation.
First of all I want to thank God who is never tired of blessing His people. He has always being blessing us all in different ways.
Secondly I want to thank you all for your readiness to stand by us and with us. As you remember, the song of the NED in the last two years has been about the Sebastian Kolowa University College (SEKUCo). This is the largest project that has ever been undertaken by our diocese. For that reason it needed a lot of energy to pull the strings together. That being the case we had to involve you our partners from inside and from outside the country. The involvement was in form of both prayers and material support. After all those struggles we have come to a point of opening SEKUCo on 28th October 2007. That date was a historical day not only for the NED but also for all partners who have been part of this project in one way another. You have been of great support for what you have given us in order to make SEKUCo project a success.
Again I want to thank you for joining us during the dedication and opening occasion of the university. Your presence was important and has made our ceremony joyous and successful. On behalf of the Executive Council of the NED and all members of the body of Christ in the NED I want to express my deep thanks and appreciation to you. Through you we have experienced the presence of God’s love and we have come to real understanding of what it means to be one in Christ. We are proud of having you as our partners and co-workers in Christ. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! ASANTENI SANA! And God bless you.

Let me finish by emphasizing that the work at SEKUCo has just started. We still have a long way to go in this mission of God through SEKUCo. I want to invite you to remain with us at SEKUCo as I invite you to remain with us in other works in our Diocese. What we promise from our side is that we will be good stewards of the gifts that we receive from God through our partners. We pray that God make us more and more into good stewards of His mission through us to the world.

God bless our partnership!!

God bless your mission!!

Dr. Stephen Munga, Bishop
ELCT – North Eastern Diocese.
