The NED has opened new bookshop in the city of Tanga. The new bookshop is
a branch of the Vuga Bookshop situated in Lushoto town. The new bookshop
is at the centre of the city within the new Neema centre belonging to the
Kana Lutheran congregation. This event was officiated by the diocesan
leader Bishop Dr. Stephen Munga on the second day of Easter Monday 17th
April 2006. The event was attended by many congregants together with choir
group from Karikoo Lutheran Parish which was visiting the congregation.
The occassion was also symbolized by the introduction of a new book to be
used by confirmation classes. | Just after the above event the bishop also officially opened the new
Mbuyukenda restaurant and newly renovated hostel houses. It was the right
time to started such services in the big city. The people of Tanga city,
especially the congregations of Tanga take this event as historical. As
for the diocese this is another major achievement in bringing the church
and her great mission closer to the people. |
