Exciting sounds of the brass-band, jumping students and teachers, moving arms and heads - a few moments after the final act of Undugu drama "Ziwa Bethesda" at the dining-hall of Lwandai Secondary School in Mlalo (North Eastern Diocese-Tanzania) seems like a dancing floor swarmed with a crowd singing: "Leo mambo mtaona, leo mambo mtaona! Kijana wakati ni wako!?.
The disabled person in the Drama ?Ziwa Bethesda? lying low on a mattress during the performance.
500 mouths, actors and audience together are shouting this Swahili song as an irresistible apply: "Today you can see many things! Get up, it's your time!" Undugu - drama was founded 2002 by the Youth Organization of Ev. - Luth. St. Marien kirchengemeinde Minden (Germany) and Lutheran Parish of Mtae (Tanzania). The first performance "Warten 2002" in Minden was an approach to the common history of both churches. 2004 Undugu drama continued with a collage of different scenes according to the healing at the pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-18). The German part and the Tanzanian part were connected at a meeting in Mtae (14 August ? 5 September 2004). Within this frame the different understanding of disablement and healing in the Bible and in the life of every project member was combined to the authentic message: If you are able to realize the healing presence of Jesus spirit in your life you can be surprised by the different things you see: "Leo mambo mtaona!"
