A group of 10 people from North Eastern Diocese (NED) will visit Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, this April.

The invitation was extended by the ELCA – Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod’s Bishop, Roy Almquist, who also visited the NED, October last year. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod is NED's close partner synod since early '90s.

The delegation will consist of Diocesan leaders, two heads of Directorates, clergymen and other members from various diocesan institutions.

According to the information issued recently, if the arrangements work with the clock precision, the group will take off on 27th April aboard KLM flight via Amsterdam and Detroit Airports before landing at Philadelphia next afternoon.

Ms. Joanne Carlson, the contact person on the side of the host church, said that the group will be staying, most of the time, at the Synod’s Seminary in Philadelphia.

Again, if the schedule goes smooth, the delegation will take the flight home on 12th May.

However, this visit was supposed to take shape last April, but was postponed due to the terrorist attacks threat.
