This year again the NED was enriched by the Annual Meeting of the Masai congregations held between the dates 2-5 September 2008. This was the 22nd annual meeting. For 22 years the diocese has been witnessing an amazing grace through the growth of Masai congregations. This growth involves a number of factors such as number of membership, number of congregations, number of male Masai baptisms, growth in stewardship etc.

This years meeting was held at Kalalani sub-parish of Mshihwi Parish in the Plain Deanery. In that small Village gathered Masai Christians from all parts of the diocese. The meeting was open by Bishop of the Diocese while the Co-ordinator of these meetings is the Principal Dean Rev. Jonathan Mwamboza.

There are different activities connected to these meetings such as singing competition and Bible Study, preaching and devotions. This year we had two Evangelists from the Diocese of Morogoro whom together with Emeritus Principal Dean Rev. Amasia Mweta fed the gathering with the word of God. We pray that these meetings will continue in the future for the growth of the Church and for the Glory of God.
