| On 23rd August 2007 Bishop Claire Burkat, bishop of Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), arrived in Lushoto for a two weeks visit. Her Assistant Joanne Carlson accompanies Bishop Burkat. On her arrival was received by head office staffs led by Bishop Dr. Munga. | On Sunday 26th Bishop Burkat had very long schedule at Korogwe Parish. Started with dedicating cornerstone of new church building at 8.30 am followed by preaching in Sunday service that was attended by more that 2000 people. Afternoon hours there was a singing festival where she was guest of honour. The session ended at 9.00 pm by giving prize to those imaged winners. | | Bishop Burkat accompanied by her host Bishop Munga has visited different parishes and institutions of the diocese. |
