A total of 55 Pastors and their Spouses working in the Diocese have had
a week seminars from 27.06.06 to 2.07.2006. The seminar aimed at
bringing together the couples to have time to reflect on their life,
and the ministry they have in the church and society at large. During
the week gathering, the couples have had a chance to share on the
difficult time and the happy moments they have experienced since the
last seminars on 2004. |

Many witnessed on the importance of the last meeting since it has
changed their life style giving priority not only to others but also
totheir own families. This time the focus was how important is the
marriage partner in the ministry but more in the life endeavor. |

| In the
seminars week for the couples, the Retired Bishop Joseph Jali led the Bible study that brought into focus the aim of God to the marriage institution. The Bishop Dr. Stephen Munga and Dean Jonathan Mwamboza
led the couples on reflection upon our call and marriages, the two are
inseparable; servanthood and marriage, marriage and servanthood. It is
not right to concentrate on marriage or servant hood alone we are
called for both. |
| The climax brought to pastors’ life and the changing
economy of the world, the discussions that were led by Mr. Ibrahim Kaduma from ELCT-ECD. Others who took role in as facilitators include Mama Elifride Kolowa and Mama Tony Kijangwa
who led the reflection on the role of the spouse to the congregational
life. Thanks to the contribution made by the congregations in NED for
their Pastors and spouses and the UEM offices for the effort to make
the week possible. |
