The First Lady of Tanzania, Honorable Mama Anna Mkapa, visited the site of the Rainbow School at Irente on Monday 9th. She was shown the building and the ongoing renovation work and was greeted by some of the future pupils and their parents.

Mama Mkapa said afterwards she was very pleased with the development since last year when she was shown the building for the first time and was introduced to the plans for opening the Rainbow School. She announced that Honorable President Mkapa will donate some computers for the school. Also Mama Mkapa as a member of Lion's Club Dar es Salaam said she would be willing to organize some wheelchairs for the pupils. Dr. Anneth Munga, the other members of the Rainbow School preparation team (Caroline Bidmon, Friderike Piehl and Robert Shehaghilo) and the parents were very happy to receive this support from the First Lady who stated she will always be there to help them doing this work for handicapped children. Bishop Dr. Stephen Munga, Dean Jonathan Mwamboza, Lushoto Community Commissioner, and the wives of the District Commissioner and the District Director were also present at Mama Mkapa's visit at the Rainbow School.
