H.E Juhani Toivonen arrived at Lushoto where North Eastern Diocese Headquarters are located late Friday for a four-day visit, during which he meet NED-ELCT Leaders. Ambassador Toivonen arrived with his wife Kristina Toivonen and Marjaana Hypponen. He also meets FELM Tanzania Representative Mr. Jyri Kemppainen both had a private dinner Friday night, followed by an official banquet at Tumaini Restaurant Saturday noon. |

Toivonen, during his visit to NED-ELCT, had stayed at the Tumaini Hostel & Restaurant. They exchanged views on the development of the strategic and cooperative partnership, and other issues of common concern. FELM is in cooperation with NED-ELCT in development projects such as renovation of Bumbuli Lutheran Hospital, Sebastian Kolowa University College and Kilindi Council Designated Hospital construction.

It is a good thing for this country that you have institutions of this kind said mr Toivonen, when he visited SEKUCo. He said the cause of special education deserved respect from the whole society. In the Faculty of Special Education office, Prof. Bahendwa told the Ambassador about the significance conveyed by the ongoing SEKUCo management team, by demonstration shown by blind students using different learning material.

Toivonen promised to further improve cooperation and told NED-ELCT to foster more talents for the country.

During his remarks at Kilindi he said Thank you for a good time here at Kilindi Council Designated Hospital. I enjoyed very much to have the opportunity to talk to you, you have assisted me with many aspects of my stay in Tanga, including my trip from all places I have been all way long from Lushoto. All in all, I feel I have learned a lot in my time.
